Lazy Sunday

WABASHA Trip

MEA Weekend and no school means I get to go on a trip to Wabasha with my mama. We stayed overnight in a hotel and got to sit with some Grumpy Old Men, where the movie of the same name was filmed. I got to visit the Lark Toy Company and ride the famous carousel and play with the owners dog, June. Best cheese curds and corn dog in town. We visited the National Eagle Center where I got to meet the resident Bald Eagles, Wa'saka, Harriet, Columbia, Angel, and Donald, who is a golden Eagle. Stopped at Lake Pepin on the way home. I had lots of fun!!!!!

Valleyscare 2012

I LOVE Valleyscare. It was so much fun to do and I want to go again!!! We got there when the gates opened and no one was on the rides except us. And yes they do whip around faster with no one on them!!!!! I really liked the shows and characters! It wasn't scary! I even saw Cousin Kennedy's name on a gravestone in the spooky graveyard! She worked there this summer.The weather was perfect and in the 80's.

Just Another Weekend

This weekend was just a run of the mill weekend.  First we went to Teen Time after school on Friday.  This is us doing the West Coast Wheelchair Swing....or at least trying too.

Then of course there was playing with Abby and the iPad.

With several breaks for the preparing of food (Chocolate Pie, Pizza - no peppers for Kaitlyn, and Monkey Milk)

Summer Fun

This has been a fun filled summer. In June I went with Mama to the Black Hills of South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore. Along the way I saw Wall Drug, Bear Country USA, Storybook gardens, and the Crazy Horse memorial. On the way home we visited DeSmet South Dakota. This is where Laura Ingalls Wilder lived and met her husband Almanzo. We visited their homes and gravesites. At the homestead I got to drive a covered wagon with a team of percheron horses. July and August I hung out at the zoo and Valleyfair which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! In August I also went with mama and grandma to Lake Pepin. We had a great time. Now school is about to start and I will be a seventh grader. Can't wait!
